In Vietnam our traditional new year celebration is called Tet (also known as Chinese new year). It spiritually marks the closing of an old cycle and the beginning of a new cycle. As we reflect on our mission and efforts moving forward in 2018, we look back on 2017 to see how it went and would like to share with our network and friends. Among public and corporate programs we were honored to be a part of, here are some of our highlights.

Corporate programs

We were proud to bring this signature program, originated from Google, to Suntory PepsiCo Marketing Team to help build a strong and dynamic team of very motivated talents. This is the world’s first Mindfulness-based Emotional Intelligence for Leadership training that has been provided for more than 20,000 managers and leaders all over the world.

This fast-track program is designed and delivered by Robert Bridgeman, founder of The Bridgeman Methods. It's a very powerful training to boost self-management, motivation and performance. Following the success of this first time felivery to top managers and leaders at VNG, we will continue to bring this program to the new talents at VNG in 2018. Watch from second 45 about what Brainhack is about and how participants responded to the program.

Employee Engagement for Team Motivation

Motivation and engagement are both rooted in core values of individuals and company. As a mindfulness-based training & coaching company, we deeply understand this and have developed tools to facilitate teams to boost engagement and motivation. We are very delightful to have tailored employee engagement for team motivation programs to Tien Phuoc Real Estate and Hai Yen Eye Care’s leadership team and received great feedbacks.

Coaching Skills for Line Managers

Developing people is our passion and we are very happy to have been the global facilitator of this highly effective program since 2013 for Unilever Vietnam in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

In parallel, we have also developed our own coaching program to help individuals and teams discover and realize their potentials. The program is based on coaching for self development and IKIGAI, the Japanese model of leading a fulfilling and successful life. We had run the program with Decathlon team and received very positive feedbacks.

Public Speaking

In 2017 we had many wonderful opportunities to moderate several important seminars that raised broad awareness on various themes such as Gender issues in Family and Business (HAWEE’s Family Day), Artful Leadership (HAWEE & Consulate of Italy), Teaching from the past (LPA and NES Education), Conservation & Business: Creating a legacy (Wilderness Africa & SOUL Corporation) and most recently, Doing Business with Restful Mind with H.E Gyalwa Dokhampa (HAWEE and Quan Am Tu Vien) on 5 January 2018 (picture).

Partnership with ELI (Eurasia Learning Institute for Happiness and Wellbeing)

We whole-heartedly share the vision and mission of ELI in Vietnam. Hence in 2017 we continued to organize and co-facilitate a series of activities with ELI, including public seminars, workshops and retreats in Ho Chi Minh, Hue and Bhutan (picture), to promote applications of Gross National Happiness philosophy in business and education.

Within our organization, there are two non-profit initiatives we've nurtured since 2016 with focus on youths and community leaders.

Meditation In Saigon:

– Our online platform continues to frequently share resources and information to support mindfulness and meditation practitioners. In 2018, we will have monthly workshops to introduce more people into mindfulness and meditation in practicaland creative formats.

A Quest For Meaning Vietnam:

– Our voluntary group continue to host public screenings and circle sharing to promote Self-orientation and Mindful way of living. Till today, we've hosted and supported 20+ screenings for 1200+ viewers in Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Nha Trang, Ninh Binh and Da Nang.

At this special time of the lunar new year, we would like to express our gratefulness for every opportunity we are given and every support we have received in order to do what we do well. Looking forward, we aim to expand our reach to more companies and institutions, and partner with master trainers to build training-of-trainer and signature programs for Vietnam, in Vietnamese language. If you're curious about what One Life Connection might bring to you, we hope to see you at one of our corporate and community programs.

Wishing you all a year of properity and peacefulness in 2018!

On behalf of One Life Connection
